If you are on regular medication and have been told you can have a repeat prescription without needing an appointment, there are a number of ways in which to re-order. To make this process as simple as possible please follow the guidance below.
Please allow two working days for repeat prescription requests
How to request a repeat prescription.
• Order online – by choosing the repeat prescriptions option available via Patient Access Online. New users are required to obtain a unique user ID and password the surgery first (on production of suitable photographic identification). We recommend that you then sign up with the Electronic Prescription Service to enable you to collect directly from your chosen pharmacy.
• Sign up with your local pharmacy for the Electronic Prescription Service at your nominated pharmacy who will request your medication electronically. You will then be able to pick up the medications directly from the pharmacy.
• Bring in the request and hand it to reception. Please allow two full working days for repeat prescriptions to be processed. Please bear in mind that over weekends and bank holidays prescription requests will take slightly longer to process.
Prescriptions are carefully monitored and reviewed by the prescribing GPs who initiate medication reviews when required. In general, the majority of our patients will require at least one medication review per year to monitor their treatment.
